Hi Jennifer. We're starting this new blog section for students. You can send your students here to do a bit of learning on their own. They can leave a comment and I will try to respond. We do have a number of ready-made lessons on feelings, though. You can search "feelings" to find one that you want to teach.

“We’re all in this together.” Have you heard this a lot? This does not mean we are all having the same experiences or feelings.

    Don't you mean >This means?

Overall, this is a great resource, though. Thanks!

Hi Mark. Thanks for your thought. I actually did mean that even though we're all in this together, we are not all having the same experiences and feelings. Some of us are stay-at-home working moms with small children at home and some are teenagers whose parents are hospital workers on the front lines. Because our experiences are different, we may be having different feelings (even though we're all in this together). I hope students will share their own feelings here.

    Barbara B.(Teacher)

Wow, you folks are FAST getting all this up and out there. Thank you
so much. You wonder....if we will have to use this lesson again...next
year... After getting past the mental hurdle of learning to teach online(!!!), your clear pieces are good to look forward to. Stay well ALL!

Hi, Zaid! I remember having that fear. When I was 16, I had to learn how to drive on a standard (also called manual or stick-shift) car. All of my friends learned to drive and took their tests on automatic cars. I remember feeling like it was so unfair. I failed my first attempt because I turned right on a yellow light, instead of yielding and stopping. I was so afraid to stall the car. But this experience helped me learn that it's okay to fail and try again! I ended up passing on the second try. By then I understood how to drive better. Best of luck!

Hi, MH. Thanks for sharing your feelings. Almost all of my friends have now had Omicron. It really went through our neighbourhood this month. Fortunately, they all recovered quite quickly. It's hard not to worry about family at a time like this, especially when they are not nearby.

    Hi Smret,
Thanks for joining the conversation! Driving is a common fear. I am nervous about driving in the dark or in the rain. I also don't like driving on busy highways or to places I'm not familiar with. I wish there were more classes for adults to brush up on their driving skills and overcome fears like this.
