My Classes & Results Now Merged

May 27, 2020

Are you looking for the Results page? You can now manage your classes, students, and assignments/results in one convenient location called My Classes. Here are some simple instructions for finding results and other related features:

1. Go to My Classes

Find Class Prep in the main navigation bar from any page on ESL Library. Choose My Classes.

2. Choose a Class

Choose a class that you want to manage or view results for.

3. Toggle to the Assignments Tab

Here you can view all of the assignments for this class. Click on the down arrow to open the table and view results for individual tasks and students.

4. Manage Students

On the Students tab, you can also easily Edit Class description or Add Students. The More menu (...) allows you to reset a password or delete a student from your class.

5. Manage Individual Students

You can also quickly preview results and profile information about individual students by scrolling down to My Students (located below My Classes on the main My Classes page).

We hope you like this new, simpler design for managing your digital classes and results. Let us know if you need help navigating the new My Classes tables and features!

Thank you for updating this feature. It'll be very helpful if we can have a way to print out all students who have completed a particular task (perhaps an xcel spreadsheet?). I'm sure if I used Google classroom, this would all be compatible, but this is not the platform we use in my school. By the way, my students really enjoy being able to do this kind of English practice on your website!

    Hi Audrey,

We are hoping to release some improved reporting features for teachers within the next month or so. We know this is in high demand, so it's a high priority for us as well.

I'm so glad your students are enjoying the site. We're doing our best to make it more user-friendly for teachers as well :)

I was just wondering, do students see their lessons sitting grouped inside each of their classes? Or are all their lessons in one list?
I have some students that are in multiple different classes with me.
    Thankyou!

    Hi Jennifer,

When the students log into their account, they have a list of lessons that have been assigned to them. Next to the lesson name is the name of the teacher who assigned the task, the class it's for, and the due date.

If they click into a lesson, they will see the assigned tasks for that lesson. There is also a blue button at the bottom of the main dashboard page that says "Past Assignments". If they click in there, they can find the lessons that are past the due date.

Some of our How-To Videos (http://help.ellii.com/) show things from the student side, if you want to check them out. But you might also consider creating a student account for yourself and going through the process so you know what your students see. That can be helpful for troubleshooting if students bump into issues, too :)

    Hope that helps!

Hello there. I have a question about my tasks assignment results.
Out of the 7 tasks assignment results I am viewing, 4 of them are labelled as "complete", but also have an "n/a" and their content is empty, when the student has completed and filled all 7 of them equally?

    Hi Joel,

I asked someone from our customer service team to reach out to you, just to make sure nothing funny is happening.

Without knowing the specific details of which tasks were assigned, my best guess is that some of the tasks may be non-interactive tasks, such as a "Dialogue", "Read & Listen", "Picture Dictionary", etc. For those tasks, the students are either reading/listening/learning new vocabulary, but they don't have to do anything per se. In that case, the task would show "n/a" after they click "Done" to indicate that they have finished reading/listening/studying. Our team member will be reaching out to you via email, just in case that's not what seems to be happening.

I'll also add this video "How to Manage Classes, Students & Results": https://help.ellii.com/article/207-video-how-to-manage-classes-students-results

I hope one of the above items addresses the issue you're having...but if not, help is on the way!

(P.S. You can also reach out to us using the Contact Us button at the very bottom of the page in the footer, any time you have questions!)

I have several students in 3 different class periods each day (esol, writing, and reading). Is it possible for students to be in multiple esl library classrooms at one time?

    Reply to Comment

    Tammy Wik(Ellii Staff)

    Hi Haley,

Yes, this is absolutely possible. When you go to create a New Class (under Class Prep → My Classes), when you go to add a new student, you should choose the "Add an Existing Student" option. If the student is already enrolled in one of your other ESL Library classes, you can simply add the student to the new class by clicking the checkbox next to the student's name.

Our video, How to Create Classes & Invite Students addresses that here: https://youtu.be/pjcJc1gYQ_A?t=50

    Happy teaching!
