Trailblazers – Simple Past

In this lesson, students read three true stories about civil rights trailblazers (Ida B. Wells, George Washington Carver, and Ruby Bridges). Each story uses the simple past. Students also answer comprehension questions. More tasks are available in the digital version, including vocabulary practice using the bold words and grammar review exercises.
